THE Namibian Police in the Oshana Region have requested the public’s assistance in finding the family of a man who reportedly drowned at the Sky Bridge on the 27 March this year.
The deceased was found fully dressed in a blue overall jacket and blue trousers which was branded with the Coca Cola logo, a brown belt, brown T-shirt underneath and a blue Reebok T-shirt, brown work shoes and grey socks.
Oshana Regional Police spokesperson, Warrant Officer Frieda Shikole, said that the body of the deceased is currently kept at Oshakati mortuary. She added that the age of the deceased person is estimated to be between 40 and 50 years.
Shikole said the remains of an unknown man was discovered under the Sky Bridge at Oshakati by members of public, who then alerted the police.
“We are requesting public who lost contact with a male relative, light in complexion with medium body build and has big scars on the left side of his head and left leg. The scars were possibly caused by a motor vehicle accident some time ago,” said Shikole.
Anyone with the information that can help trace the family members of the unknown man is asked to inform the nearest police station or call the Oshana Police at 065 2236072/74.
