THE tragic loss of two community leaders in one day, while the country is still in a period of National Mourning after the death of former Vice President Dr. Nickey Iyambo, is extremely sad.
President Hage Geingob underlined the positive contributions to building a better Namibia by Councillor Lotto Kuushomwa and Councillor Ndishoshili Samson Nghilumbwa, in a special message issued by State House in wwhich he expressed his condolences to family and friends of the departed leaders.
The statement said Dr. Geingob has learned with sadness about the untimely passing of Councillor Lotto Kuushomwa of the Oshakati East Constituency and Councillor Ndishoshili Samson Nghilumbwa of the Walvis Bay Municipal Council.
“It is tragic for the nation to experience the passing of two dedicated community leaders in one day. As a country in mourning of a stalwart of our liberation struggle and former Vice President, Cde Iyambo, I recognize during this difficult hour the contributions of a freedom fighter, Councillor Kuushomwa and Councillor Ndishoshili Nghilumbwa in building a better Namibian House. I wish to express my sincere condolences to the wives, family, children, comrades, colleagues and friends. May their souls Rest in Peace.” President Geingob said:
Councillor Lotto Kuushomwa of the Oshakati East Constituency and a member of the National Council passed away today, 27 May 2019, while Councillor Ndishoshili Samson Nghilumbwa of the Walvis Bay Municipal Council passed away on the same day in a car accident between Arandis and Swakopmund.
