Police in the Erongo Region need the help of the public to find the attackers of a man who was stabbed three times and robbed of his cellular phone in the Mondesa neighbourhood of Swakopmund.
According to the Erongo Regional Crime Investigations Coordinator, Deputy Commissioner Erastus Iikuyu the stabbing and robbery occurred on Christmas Eve between 22:00 and 23:00 in the vicinity of the ELCIN Church in Mondessa.
“Mandume Jacobs was stabbed three times with a knife by an unknown suspect. He sustained stab wounds in his abdominal area, in his chest and on his arm and is currently in a serious but stable condition in the Swakopmund State Hospital.”
He said the victim was apparently on his way home from an evening of drinking and dancing when the attack occurred. The robbers managed to steal his Huawei phone worth about N$2 500.
