TWO men, who might be able to facilitate the police with more information about the brutal double murder at Arandis early on Monday morning, were arrested and taken in for questioning by the Namibian Police on Tuesday night.
The Inspector General of the Namibian Police, Lieutenant General Sebastian Ndeitunga, confirmed the arrest of the two persons of interest and said the first person was taken into custody in Karibib and the second person who might have had knowledge of the actual murders before they occurred was arrested in Tsumeb.
The first person of interest is a man from the former East Germany who had a document in his possession that states that he is a PLAN war veteran. The man also claimed to be the owner of a mahangu field in the North
The second person was responsible for distributing a message on social media which stated that people must pray for the NIMT officials. The message stated that blood is going to splash in April 2019 and that the country will lose a couple of souls.
“At this stage these men are just seen as persons of interest and they are in custody for questioning only,” General Ndetunga said.
