THE Namibia Football Association has opened up the players’ registration and transfer window within the leagues in the country ahead of the 2019/2020 football season, which is slated to kick off around September/October 2019.
The NFA secretariat announced the opening of the first registration and transfer dates for the players as officially being Wednesday, 24 July, and set to close on 27 September 2019.
NFA members are also advised to diarise the second registration and transfer window that will be from 1 January to 31 January 2020.
The NFA secretariat advised clubs that no extensions will be granted, and urged clubs to thoroughly make use of this period.
“It is a requirement for every player to have a national identity number in order for him or her to be registered, as it will form part of a player’s a unique player’s registration number,” said the NFA Secretariat.
Clubs are also advised to note that only player’s passes received on or before Wednesday will be validated in order for the player to participate in matches scheduled for the upcoming weekend, while those submitted after Wednesday, will be processed for the following week’s matches.
