IN hope to promote culture, northern youth has embarked on a project to host its first ever Oshana Trade Festival slated for November 29th to 01st December this year, in Ongwediva.
A total of about 200 exhibitors are expected to patriciate in different categories during the festival.
Speaking to Informanté on Friday, Olavi Cena-b Kandele stated that the event which is being organized by Dot Media Group and himself is aimed at promoting culture diversity in the region and beyond.
“The aim of the festival is to inspire culture amongst students and the public at large,” said Kandele.
He added that they also have various activities lined up for the day, including a fashion bash, beauty contest, cooking and dancing competitions.
Kandele explained that the idea is to ensure that the youth are kept busy during the festive season and will also ensure that they do not engage in illegal activities.
“People should look out for the Top Chef and DJ competitions,” he said, adding that this will also help people to celebrate what they love doing.
