CHIEF of the Namibian Defence Force (NDF), Lieutenant General John Mutwa, is booked off from duty and currently unable to fulfill all this obligations.
This came to light when information from his office regarding the illegal occupation of Farm Etiro was instead disseminated by Vice Marshal Martin Pinehas.
When probed about Mutwa’s clear absence from office, NDF Public Relations Officer, Lieutenant Colonel Petrus Shilumbu, was only willing to say that the matter is too personal and as such, the Ministry of Defence will not be entertaining questions regarding the General’s health.
The 58-year-old General Mutwa took over the reins of the NDF from Lieutenant General Denga Ndaitwah in December 2013.
