THE 51-year-old Niklaas Johannes Bezuidenhoudt along with the 51-year-old Hendrika Otlinaws and the 21-year-old Paul ‘Happy’ Imbili were arrested in the Narraville neighbourhood of Walvis Bay during a focussed police operation in their continuous combat against the proliferation of dangerous and illicit drugs in communities.
According to the report about the arrest provided by the Errongo Regional Crime Investigations Coordinator, Deputy Commissioner Erastus Iikuyu, the three suspects were taken into custody after officers raided the house they were staying in on Thursday night.
The suspects were residing at house number 43 in Plover Street and were found in possession of 198 Mandrax tablets and two parcels of dagga. The parcels of dagga weighed 430 grams and the total value of the tablets and dagga is estimated to be about N$24 100.
Bezuidenhoudt, Otlinaws and Imbili made their first appearance in the Walvis Bay Magistrates Court on Friday and are charged with the possession of illegal drugs. The amount of drugs found in their possession means that they were also charged with dealing in illegal drugs.
