The Brave Warriors are ready for their 2019 African Cup of Nations opening match against Morocco this Sunday where the team plans to surprise Africa following a perfect camp in Dubai recently.
Namibia are going into the competition as the underdogs in the “Group of Death”, Group D that consist of South Africa, Ivory Coast and Morocco at the upcoming AFCON finals.
The Brave Warriors will arrive in Cairo tomorrow afternoon from Dubai, where the team will play Morocco on Sunday before taking on South Africa on June 28, with both games hosted at the Al Salam Stadium. They will then play their final group game against Ivory Coast on 1 July at Cairo International Stadium.
Mannetti said that preparations have revealed that the boys are ready to display their talent in Egypt.
“The Ghana match gave us a lot of confidence going into the Morocco match and we are positive that we will be able to surprise Africa. We cannot wait for the game to start so that we can continue to live the dream. Our first goal is to win our first match at AFCON and then the sky is the limit”, said Mannetti.
