Nakathila promises to show opponent flames

Aili Iilonga

NAMIBIAN renowned boxer, Jeremiah Nakathila, has vowed to take out his Hungarian opponent in what he described as the biggest fight of his career.

The fight for the WBO Global Junior lightweight title, is set for this coming weekend at the Windhoek Country Club.

Northern-born Nakathila will face Hungary’s Zoltan Kovacs in the 12-round match under the MTC Nestor Sunshine Tobias Academy’s Legacy Fight Part 2.

Nakathila said that his camp has prepared well for the fight and that he has been hard at work and is ready to take on his opponent.

“I have been working hard and I’m ready for this fight. I will give you few rounds but then after that I will take you out very easily. I am going to beat the hell out of you,” he jokingly said to his opponent.

His opponent on the other hand, who spoke in his native language, said that he respects Nakathila and is ready to take the title back home to Hungary.

“I respect Nakathila as an opponent in the ring but I want to win and take the belt back home to Hungary,” he said.

There will be undercut matches that will kick-off before the main bout.

The match will be between Walter Kautondokwa and France’s Ramalolu and Namibian’s Mike Shonena against Shadrack Kabero.
