Man arrested for brutal murder in Kuisebmond

HUNDREDS of onlookers gathered in the area of Shop 4 in Kuisebmond late on Sunday afternoon after news that man killed his wife by cutting her throat spread like wild fire through the suburb of Walvis Bay.
Deputy Commissioner Erastus Iikuyu confirmed the brutal murder and said the 36-year-old Hanguwo Otiilie Mwateuvi died on the spot after her 54-year-old boyfriend attacked her with a knife.

He said that the murder was committed at about 18:30 in the victims shack behind house number 930 in 21st Street in Kuisebmond.
“It is alleged that Haihambo Phillipus Hafeni cut his girlfriend’s throat with the knife causing her instant death while she was still inside her ghetto. The couple lived together in the shack.”
According to Deputy Commissioner Iikuyu the suspect was arrested shortly after the brutal attack.
“It is not yet known what caused the suspect to commit such a crime.”
The senior detective indicated that the next of kin of the murder victim was informed of her untimely death.
