TWO men in Lüderitz are being hunted by the Namibian police after they raped a 36-year-old man who was on his way home from a bar.
Namibian Police spokesperson, Chief Inspector Kauna Shikwambi, confirmed the incident, adding that the incident happened on Saturday, 30 November, between 05:00 and 06:00 at Jakkalsdraai, Lüderitz.
It is alleged that the victim, who works at the Lüderitz hospital, was followed by the two men into his yard who proceeded to threatened him with a knife while forcing him to go to an outside toilet where they gang raped him.
The suspects are allegedly well known and a search to apprehend them is underway.
In another incident, two 4-year-olds instantly died, while another child sustained injuries after played with unknown explosive devices at Opuwo’s Katutura location on Saturday at around 18:47.
The deceased have been identified as Tjapona Hivandinga and Mukatokoo Nangopwa.
The injured child has been admitted at the Oshakati State Hospital and is reportedly in a critical condition.
