The two squabbling factions of the Ondonga Royal Clan are on their way back to court and this time even President Hage Geingob is being dragged along.
At the centre of the dispute is the government’s approval of the application of Fillemon Shuumbwa Nangolo as new king of Ondonga.
The Shikongo Law Chambers, acting on behalf of the other throne claimant Konis Eino Kalenga and seven other applicants, is urgently seeking a reversal of the Government’s recognition of Nangolo.
The Minister of Urban and Rural Development, the Governor of Oshana Region and the Head of State are listed on the founding affidavit as the first, second and third respondents respectively.
There are six other respondents on the list which also includes Fillemon Shuumbwa Nangolo.
