Uhuru Kenyatta, the President of Kenya, congratulated Namibia on the celebration of 29 years of freedom and independence.
“Leaders should value the dreams and aspirations of our youth and allow them to achieve their goals, for they are the reason our forefathers fought. Independence gives us an excellent opportunity to reflect on the many milestones we’ve achieved. Kenya remains steadfast and committed to working with Namibia for a peaceful and prosperous Africa.”
The Kenyan President also applauded Namibia for its continued implementation of gender equality policies and in so doing entrust women with responsibility and power.
“In Kenya and Namibia will maintain strong brotherly ties the Spirit of Ubuntu.”
President Kenyatta is on a four day long official state visit to Namibia and was invited to be the Guest of Honour at the 29th Independence Celebrations currently underway at the Independence Stadium in Windhoek.
