DIRK Vermeulen, Edgar Clark and Michael Lusse, who stands accused of possessing and attempting to sell two elephant tusks have approached the Walvis Bay Magistrate’s Court with a formal bail application.
During the testimony of the first two accused persons it was revealed that the tusks they attempted to sell to undercover detectives at the time of their arrest were never the result of a poaching incident and that a previous owner in fact had a permit for the ivory.
