NAMIBIA\u2019s Young Warriors secured their second consecutive victory in the TotalEnergies CAF Under-20 Africa Cup of Nations COSAFA Qualifier, beating hosts Mozambique 1-0 on Sunday to move to six points in Group A.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Rashid Naobeb scored the decisive goal in the 18th minute at the ABB Stadium in Mozambique, giving Namibia a 1-0 lead at half-time.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Young Warriors held on to claim all three points and record their first-ever victory over Mozambique at Under-20 level.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Onesmus Timotheus was named Man of the Match for his performance.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The result leaves Namibia with six points from two matches, having opened their campaign with a 1-0 victory over Mauritius on Friday.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Namibia’s next match is against Seychelles on Tuesday, 22 September, at 15:00.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Namibia starting line-up consisted of Mcheni Kavendjii, Antonius Guiseb, Onesmus Timotheus, Shahid Naobeb, Tuundjakuje Kandingua, Mateus Ashitenda, captain Lukas Sakeus, Chris-Lee Vries, Willem Nguvali, Rashid Naobeb and Suveree Kauzuu.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The substitutes were Uetuesa Hangero, Nevio Huber, Ngifikefunue Kandume, Gerson Kangumbe, Leonard Nghidimbwa, Giovanni Tsandib, Robinho van Wyk, Promise Haitamba and Adriano Gawab.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
