Photo: Ministry of Agriculture.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator has-alpha-channel-opacity\"\/>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The new members include Alfred Sikopo, who will also serve as the new Acting Chairperson of the Commission, and Petrus Canisius Nangolo, who was reappointed as the Commission\u2019s Deputy Chairperson. Charles Uugwanga, Frans Kamati and Paulus Hausiku were also reappointed as members of the Commission.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The newly appointed members of the Commission are Petrina Mpahleni, Alexandria Angala, Thomas Uuyuni, Adolf Muremi, Kay-Dieter Rumpf, Manfred Rukoro and Nguvitjita Kapere.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Welcoming the Commissioners, Zaamwani said the Commission plays a vital role in aligning government policy objectives with land acquisition and redistribution efforts, as well as agricultural and socio-economic development priorities.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">She further noted that the Commission\u2019s work is aimed at correcting historical inequalities in land ownership. According to the Minister, achieving meaningful land reform will require commitment, cooperation and a shared understanding that the process is essential in addressing the socio-economic and political injustices rooted in Namibia\u2019s colonial history.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u201cLand reform in our country seeks to address historical injustices that have deprived many of our people of access to productive land and economic opportunities.
