custody after appearing in the Windhoek Magistrate\u2019s Court on charges of copper cable theft in Dorado Valley, following their arrest by the Windhoek City Police Service.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The suspects, Matheus Hipukuvala (28), Samuel Angula (28) and Lamek Shilunga (36), were apprehended in the riverbed along the Western Bypass where the alleged theft took class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The trio made their first court appearance where bail was denied. They were remanded in custody, with the matter postponed to 13 July 2026.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The stolen cables have since been recovered, while investigations into the incident continue.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Authorities have warned that tampering with public infrastructure is a criminal offence that causes serious disruption to essential telecommunication services.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Residents have been urged to remain vigilant and report any suspicious activity around cables, manholes and electrical installations.
