VICE President Lucia Witbooi has invited French businesses to collaborate with Namibia, particularly in the beneficiation and value addition of the country\u2019s mineral resources.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cWe have made notable progress in diversifying our economy beyond traditional primary sectors such as mining and agriculture. The growth of industries like Oil and Gas exploration and development, Tourism, Manufacturing, Mining, General Services, Digital and Global Business Services, and Technology, has created new investment opportunities in Namibia, with great potential for growth and long-term profitability to prospective investors. We are inviting you to partner with us in value addition to our mineral resources,\u201d Witbooi said.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
She made the remarks during a meeting with French businesses and the Medefi delegation in Nairobi, Kenya. According to the Vice President, Namibia remains one of sub-Saharan Africa\u2019s most attractive investment destinations, known for its economic growth, stability, peaceful environment, strong governance, and commitment to democratic principles.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cFirst and foremost, I wish to express that Namibia and France maintain a longstanding relationship and excellent bilateral relations; hence, I am profoundly pleased and honoured to join you here this morning as French and Namibian businesses interact to further strengthen investment cooperation and trade between Namibia and France,\u201d Witbooi added.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Witbooi stressed that the meeting created an important platform to promote investment opportunities in Namibia and attract investors to the country\u2019s priority sectors. She identified agriculture, youth empowerment, sport, creative industries, quality education, healthcare, land, housing, and sanitation as among the key areas requiring investment and collaboration.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cI wish to urge you to partner with Namibian businesses in your respective areas of interest. I also wish to encourage you to consider Namibia as your next investment destination.
