US Ambassador John Giordano has engaged energy company Halliburton at its coastal operations in Namibia, highlighting the critical role of onshore infrastructure in supporting offshore oil and gas activities.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The visit, which took place last week, focused on understanding how onshore systems enable offshore exploration and production, including drilling equipment, fluids systems, cementing and logistics. Giordano described these operations as the \u201coperational backbone\u201d that ensures projects are executed efficiently and at scale.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cWhat happens offshore is made possible onshore. From drilling and completion equipment to fluids systems, cementing, and logistics, this is where the capabilities behind offshore wells are staged, integrated and executed in real time,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Ambassador also interacted with members of the local workforce, including trainees gaining practical experience in the sector, noting the importance of skills development and local participation in Namibia\u2019s growing energy industry.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

He emphasised that combining advanced technical capability with the development of local talent is key to sustaining long-term production, adding that such efforts reflect a business approach focused on reliability and long-term performance.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
