Severe thunderstorms are expected in the northern, western, central and southern parts of the country on Wednesday.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
This was forecast by Namibia Meteorological Services, which warned that these showers could result in flash floods. The service identified the north-western, central, Erongo, Hardap and \/\/Kharas regions as those most likely to be affected. The public is urged to remain cautious.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Namibia Meteorological Services also indicated that a few areas outside the aforementioned regions may experience isolated showers.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
This week, consistent rain has fallen across different parts of the country. Between Tuesday and Wednesday, Otjozondjupa Region\u2019s Okahandja 8 mm, Otjiwarongo 5 mm and Hochveld recorded 14 mm, while Farm Bergen near Tsumeb received 12 mm during the same period. In Windhoek, some parts of the city recorded 11 mm, while others received up to 20 mm during the same period.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Notable rainfall has also been observed in parts of the Erongo Region. Photos and videos captured by Eddie Olivier reveal how the area between Spitzkoppe and Henties Bay has been soaked by the recent downpours, with rain continuing throughout Tuesday morning.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
