The airline added that the surcharge has been applied to applicable bookings from Monday, 23 March 2026, and will be reviewed regularly in line with fuel price movements.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u201cOver the past weeks, due to the ongoing conflict in the Middle East, volatility in fuel availability and sustained increases in fuel costs have placed significant pressure on the aviation industry worldwide. As fuel remains one of the largest operational expenses in aviation, these rising costs have necessitated a measured and responsible response to ensure the continued sustainability of services,\u201d FlyNamibia explained in a statement.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">FlyNamibia added that the introduction of a fuel surcharge will enable the Westair Group to maintain its operational standards, route network and service reliability, while continuing to provide safe and efficient air travel across Namibia and the region.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u201cWe remain committed to connecting Namibia and supporting the country\u2019s tourism and business sectors.
