The initiative aims to strengthen Namibia\u2019s preparedness and response to FMD through engagement with livestock farmers across the country.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The campaign is being implemented in collaboration with the Livestock and Livestock Products Board of Namibia (LLPBN), the FMD Support Fund, and various Namibian farmers\u2019 unions and associations, in response to the ongoing FMD threat within the Southern African Development Community (SADC) region. Farmers attending the sessions will receive vital information on FMD prevention and control measures, and the programme will also provide an opportunity to address concerns and improve collective readiness within the livestock sector.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Venue arrangements are being finalised with the assistance of farmers\u2019 organisations, and confirmed details will be communicated to participants via media outlets and messaging platforms such as radio and WhatsApp. Each session will commence at 09:00, and attendees are encouraged to arrive on time.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The awareness sessions will take place across multiple regions including Omaheke, Otjozondjupa, Oshikoto, !Karas, Hardap, Kunene South, and Erongo, ensuring broad coverage of Namibia\u2019s livestock farming communities.
