Neil Thomas Oakman, died after the plane in which they were travelling crashed outside Walvis Bay after take-off.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">According to Senior Inspector Judith Shomongula, the accident happened on Wednesday, 4 March 2026 at about 17:00 at Gobabeb.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u201cIt is alleged that three British nationals, John Lowe, Alan Martin Wilson, 62 years old, and Neil Thomas Oakman, 63 years old, came to Namibia on 25 February 2026 to conduct research at Gobabeb,\u201d Shomongula said.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator has-alpha-channel-opacity\"\/>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">She added that on Wednesday, 4 March 2026 at about 17:00, Alan Martin Wilson and Neil Thomas Oakman took off to look for animal collars in the dunes.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u201cAt about 19:00, John Lowe started getting worried about the colleagues who took long to come back to the centre.
