Traffic will be redirected where necessary to create a safe working space for contractors.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The City assured residents and businesses that access to properties in the affected areas will be maintained throughout the construction period.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Motorists and pedestrians have been urged to comply with temporary traffic signage and observe access restrictions around the construction sites.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The City apologised for any inconvenience caused and thanked the public for its cooperation during the project.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Staff Reporter THE City of Windhoek has announced the temporary closure of selected sidewalks in Otjomuise and Khomasdal from 9 March to 10 April 2026 to allow for the installation of new fibre infrastructure.
