Participants will gain hands-on experience in population genomics, climate-smart breeding, and data-driven livestock<br>improvement.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">An international team of experts will guide the sessions:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Dr Carlos Sarabia (Universitat Pompeu Fabra, Spain) \u2013 Population geneticist specialising in molecular biology and bioinformatics.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Noelle Curtis-Joseph (Brown University, USA) \u2013 Computational biologist applying machine learning to microbiome-driven traits.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Prof Theopoline Amushendje (University of Namibia) \u2013 Molecular geneticist and Academic Coordinator of the Centre of Excellence for Research in Agricultural Productivity.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Mar\u00eda Luisa de la Puerta Fernandez (Omeva Consulting) \u2013 Data analyst focused on integrating AI and ICT into sustainable livestock systems.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The course is free of charge, made possible through the support of the Ram\u00f3n Areces Foundation, ACESDA, AECID, and the Spanish Embassy in Namibia.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Participation is limited to 30 candidates, and early application is encouraged.
