The case was postponed to 29 October. The accused is implicated in an incident in which a Regional Council credit facility at a local supermarket was allegedly used fraudulently to purchase items valued at about N$115,000. Tegako served as Chairperson of the Erongo Regional Council (ERC) for a few months before a High Court ruling removed him and reinstated deposed SWAPO councillor Benitha Imbamba. However, the ERC has so far ignored the court&#8217;s decision and had retained Tegako as Chairperson until his arrest on Monday.
