{"id":380695,"date":"2025-08-26T03:00:00","date_gmt":"2025-08-26T01:00:00","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/informante.web.na\/?p=380695"},"modified":"2025-08-25T19:04:12","modified_gmt":"2025-08-25T17:04:12","slug":"25-network-towers-installed-in-various-regions","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/informante.web.na\/?p=380695","title":{"rendered":"25 network towers installed in various regions"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Staff Reporters<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">A TOTAL of 25 PowerCom network towers have been installed in various places across ten regions, spanning from the north to the south.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">This includes four towers in the Erongo Region, seven in the Khomas Region, two in the Otjozondjupa Region, two in the Kavango East Region, two in the Kavango West Region, one in the \/\/Kharas Region, one in the Oshana Region, one in the Oshikoto Region, three in the Zambezi Region, and two in the Omusati Region.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Speaking at the launch, the Minister of Information and Communication Technology, Emma Theofelus, described the project as a significant milestone in achieving the inclusive and resilient future outlined in Vision 2030 and operationalised through the National Development Plan 6 (NDP6). But connectivity has the power to change this story. Without access to modern ICT, our youth cannot compete on equal footing, our farmers cannot access new markets, and our citizens cannot benefit fully from the services government works so hard to provide,\u201d Theofelus said.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The minister emphasised that the towers, which were recently completed by PowerCom, are a direct contribution to the country\u2019s national goals.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u201cI want to salute PowerCom, its leadership, and its partners for their investment and commitment. It proves that when government and the private sector work hand in hand, the dreams of Vision 2030 and NDP6 move from paper to reality,\u201d she added.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">She also reaffirmed the government\u2019s commitment to further expanding digital access, highlighting the government\u2019s intention to increase internet coverage from just over 50% to 90% by 2030, and digital technology access from around 28% to 70%.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Staff Reporters A TOTAL of 25 PowerCom network towers have been installed in various places across ten regions, spanning from the north to the south.
