{"id":378105,"date":"2025-07-08T15:25:38","date_gmt":"2025-07-08T13:25:38","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/informante.web.na\/?p=378105"},"modified":"2025-07-08T15:25:42","modified_gmt":"2025-07-08T13:25:42","slug":"mulunga-arrested-more-arrests-to-follow-noa-says","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/informante.web.na\/?p=378105","title":{"rendered":"Mulunga arrested, more arrests to follow, Noa says"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Staff Reporter<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">IN an ironic twist, the former Managing Director of the National Petroleum Corporation of Namibia (NAMCOR), Immanuel Mulunga, has been arrested after an investigation by the Anti-Corruption Commission \u2014 the same institution which had cleared him of criminal intent two years ago over the payment of N$100 million which had not been approved by the NAMCOR Board.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The Director General of the Anti-Corruption Commission, Paulus Noa, has said that they are still to make more arrests in an operation which has led to the jailing of the former MD, Immanuel Mulunga.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Mulunga was arrested today at his Klein Windhoek residence this afternoon.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">&#8220;The charge I am yet to confirm. He is yet to be charged. Mind you, he is not the only one \u2014 there are others. There could be around four for now; this is an ongoing operation. We don&#8217;t care, as long as someone is implicated in money laundering and corruption, we just have to round them up.
