The company disclosed that the project is being financed through a combination of a loan from the German development bank, KfW \u2014 amounting to approximately N$1.3 billion \u2014 with the remaining funds sourced from NamPower\u2019s own reserves.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u201cSores |Gaib, which in Khoekhoegowab means \u2018Power of the Sun\u2019, will be NamPower\u2019s largest solar PV power station to date. Upon completion, the power station will make a significant contribution to the national energy mix, displacing a considerable portion of imported energy and reducing reliance on fossil fuels. Additionally, Sores |Gaib will play a pivotal role in fostering economic development, enhancing energy independence, and strengthening climate resilience in Namibia,\u201d NamPower explained.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">NamPower\u2019s Managing Director, Kahenge Haulofu, emphasised that the 100 MW Sores |Gaib Power Station Project represents progress and a long-term commitment to the sustainable development of the country.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u201cOur country has abundant sunshine, and we as a nation are ready to seize the opportunities that renewable energy offers.
