The Namibia Meteorological Services has identified Rundu and Ondangwa as some of the northern locations likely to see more showers. However, the rainfall in the north is expected to be widespread, with the heaviest storms predicted to affect the north-central regions. Photo: wxmaps.org.<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<\/div>\n\n\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator has-alpha-channel-opacity\"\/>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The Namibia Meteorological Services has therefore issued a warning for potential flash floods in the north, urging the public to exercise caution.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The North has already faced exceptionally heavy rainfall last week, leading to significant flooding in some areas. Tsumeb, in the Oshikoto Region, is one such area where recent downpours flooded parts of the town, including the Tsumeb Lombard State Hospital, and also caused damage to property, including the town&#8217;s electrical poles.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">More showers, although likely not as heavy, are also expected in some central and southern areas this week.
