{"id":369838,"date":"2025-02-08T14:00:00","date_gmt":"2025-02-08T12:00:00","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/informante.web.na\/?p=369838"},"modified":"2025-02-08T11:17:09","modified_gmt":"2025-02-08T09:17:09","slug":"police-arrest-man-for-raping-two-minors-in-omusati","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/informante.web.na\/?p=369838","title":{"rendered":"Police arrest man for raping two minors in Omusati"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Maria David<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">A 45-YEAR-OLD man has been arrested by police in Omusati Region for allegedly raping two minors aged 14 and 16 at Onyamangunda village in the Onesi Constituency.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The Namibian Police Force Omusati&#8217;s Regional Commander Commissioner Ismael Basson, said the incident occurred in December 2024, at an unknown time and date, and was only reported to police on Friday.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">According to Basson, the suspect arrived at the victim&#8217;s house and found them playing outside at the time of the incident.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u201cHe grabbed both victims by their arms, pulled them into a bedroom, and instructed them to sit on the bed. He then pushed the 16-year-old onto the bed, undressed her, and sexually assaulted her,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">He added that the 14-year-old was present during this assault.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Basson indicated that following the assault on the 16-year-old, the suspect then turned towards the 14-year-old, undressed her, and sexually&nbsp;assaulted&nbsp;her.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Maria David A 45-YEAR-OLD man has been arrested by police in Omusati Region for allegedly raping two minors aged 14 and 16 at Onyamangunda village in the Onesi Constituency.
