Ambassador Penda Naanda, Executive Director of the Ministry of International Relations and Cooperation, made the announcement in a statement.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">While acknowledging that the decision is somewhat overdue, Naanda described it as a step in the right direction, emphasizing that the Palestinian people deserve justice just as much as any other group worldwide.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Naanda reiterated Namibia\u2019s belief in the crucial role of international institutions in upholding justice and fairness. \u201cWhen these institutions act impartially and without bias,\u201d he said, \u201cthey provide a framework for accountability, protect human rights\u2014including those of Palestinians\u2014and contribute to peace and stability not only in the Middle East but across the globe.
