“After committing an armed robbery on Thursday, 04 July 2024, at around 14:10 in Omatando in the Oshana Region, the robbers allegedly entered a house, attacked the victim with a pistol, and demanded money. When the victim told them he had no money, they took a bag of clothes belonging to the victim and fled. They jumped into their vehicle, a silver Toyota Corolla, which was later found near the Menduletu complex at Total Service Station near the old Fysal Building, with a smashed rear window. They were pursued and apprehended at Oshivelo checkpoint, where officers were ready. They were found in a silver Volkswagen Tiguan, allegedly heading to Otjiwarongo, with several cellphones and a motor gate remote control (commonly used by criminals to jam cars in parking lots),” Shikwambi said.

She added that the suspects are charged in Ondangwa with armed robbery with aggravating circumstances and malicious damage to property, and in Oshakati with armed robbery with aggravating circumstances and malicious damage to property.

Shikwambi noted that the suspects have various cases against them, with warrants of arrest issued. Aktofel Kamudulunge Likius, alias Sixa, age 31, is wanted on murder charges in the Khomas and Erongo Regions and for robbery. Petrus Shikongo, alias Shilumbu, age 24, is wanted for armed robbery, and Wilhelm Sheehama George, alias Kakuva, age 29, is wanted in the Ohangwena Region for attempted murder, robbery, and escaping from lawful custody.
