THE Secretary-General of the South West Africa National Union (SWANU) Party, Ngaijake Sam Tjikuzu, has officially distanced the party from Dr. Tangeni Ijambo’s recent claim suggesting that the passing of the late President Hage Geingob was not due to natural causes.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
This statement comes after Ijambo questioned the circumstances under which President Geingob passed away in parliament yesterday, calling for an investigation. In response, SWANU’s Secretary-General distanced the party from these insinuations, referring to the claims as “irresponsible, insensitive, and highly misplaced.” Tjikuzu also urged that Ijambo must refrain from speaking on behalf of the party.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
“The so-called MP, who publicly relinquished his position to ‘young bloods’ and only to later rescind his decision, must refrain from saying or doing anything on behalf of SWANU. He had years to make a meaningful contribution in parliament but all he could (do) was to bring the name of the party in disrepute with his controversial statements,” Tjikuzu said.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Tjikuzu went on to highlight that the late President Geingob was democratically elected as the Head of State and automatically made the Head of Intelligence, Head of Security (including his own), head of the army, among other roles. He underscored his belief that the government employs well-trained ‘military intelligence’ personnel within the president’s office, possessing the necessary information to make informed decisions.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Tjikuzu also pointed out that the former president publicly and voluntarily disclosed his illness, expressing the intention to seek treatment.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
“I, therefore, herewith wish to inform the Namibian nation in the strongest terms that SWANU doesn’t subscribe to the narratives expressed by the parliamentarian as seen in various media and wish to request the nation to stay calm and collected during this trying time. In conclusion, I on my own behalf, my family and on behalf of the entire SWANU rank and file wish to send our sincere message of Condolences to the Geingob family and the entire nation,” Tjikuzu added.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
