THIS weekend witnessed widespread rainfall across multiple regions, resulting in flooding in some areas, especially in the Otjozondjupa and Kunene regions.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Otavi and Okahandja in the Otjozondjupa Region, as well as Outjo in the Kunene Region, are among some of the places that were most affected by the weekend’s rainfall.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

According to the Namibia Meteorological Services, Outjo recorded 18.6 millimetres (mm) between Saturday and Sunday morning (at 8:00). However, the total rainfall in Outjo for the weekend is estimated to be as much as, if not more than, 55mm. Weather enthusiasts on social media also reported that both Okahandja and Otavi received over 70mm of rain in total during the weekend.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
