Photo: Bank Windhoek<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<\/div>\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">This was said by Baronice Hans, Bank Windhoek&#8217;s Managing Director, in a statement released by the bank&#8217;s marketing and corporate services.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">It is alleged that Bank Windhoek employee Nico Hijendepi Rebebe secretly transferred N$200 million to two separate accounts and then disappeared around 11:00 on Saturday. He is still in hiding.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">In a statement released afterward, the bank said that the incident was swiftly reported to the Police, and the Bank is actively cooperating with the ongoing investigation.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The statement added that, while the investigation is in progress, the bank will not provide further comments.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">&#8220;The Bank remains steadfast in its commitment to transparency and will release additional information as soon as it becomes available without compromising the integrity of the ongoing investigation. Bank Windhoek reassures its valued customers and stakeholders that appropriate measures are being taken to address the situation.
