Leonard Hango, the Senior Hydrologist for the Cuvelai-Etosha basin at the Ministry of Agriculture, mentioned that if the water level exceeds 95%, the opening of the dam&#8217;s slices cannot be ruled out.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">While the western parts of the Omusati Region and Cunene province in Angola experienced heavy rains, the Cuvelai catchment area is yet to receive sufficient rain, minimizing the risk of flooding.
