AN 18-year-old man has been arrested for repeatedly raping his 12-year-old cousin at Omalola village.<\/p>\n

The suspect began molesting the victim in 2021 on different days and continued until the matter was reported to the police by the victim’s 95-year-old great-grandmother.<\/p>\n

Oshikoto Regional Commander, Commissioner Theopoline Kalompo-Nashikaku, said the suspect usually sneaks into the victim’s sleeping room at night and rapes her while she is asleep.<\/p>\n

“The victim usually wakes up and finds the suspect already having sex with her and alerts the complainant,” she said.<\/p>\n

Kalompo-Nashikaku indicated that the suspect is expected to appear before the Ondangwa Magistrate Court on Friday.<\/p>\n
