{"id":325400,"date":"2022-09-05T09:47:25","date_gmt":"2022-09-05T07:47:25","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/informante.web.na\/?p=325400"},"modified":"2022-09-05T09:47:29","modified_gmt":"2022-09-05T07:47:29","slug":"over-4000-covid-19-death-reported-to-date","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/informante.web.na\/?p=325400","title":{"rendered":"Over 4000 Covid-19 death reported to date"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Maria David<\/p>\n<p>A TOTAL of 4 077 deaths has been counted during the outbreak of coronavirus, according to Minister of Health and Social Service Kalumbi Shangula.<\/p>\n<p>Shangula revealed this during the launch of the Cancer screening and health awareness campaign at Indira Gandhi health centre in the Onemanya area.<\/p>\n<p>Shangula stated that they have just emerged from the devastating impact of Covid-19 pandemic in Namibia.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;The psychological impact of Covid-19 on the populace has been immense. This has once more underscored the importance of psychosocial services,&#8221; he said.<\/p>\n<p>He added that their social workers and psychologist could hardly cope with bereavement counselling as the number of deaths kept on rising.<\/p>\n<p>Shangula stated that to date, the ministry have recoded 4 077 deaths in which Covid-19 was involved, and the service providers themselves also required the same service.<\/p>\n<p>The Ministry has also removed all Covid-19 restrictions effective from the 15 of July 2022.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Maria David A TOTAL of 4 077 deaths has been counted during the outbreak of coronavirus, according to Minister of Health and Social Service Kalumbi Shangula.
