THIS week’s hot weather is predicted to continue in most parts of the country, but it will most likely come with a few thundershowers in some areas in the southern, central, eastern, coastal and, eventually, north-eastern parts of the country.<\/p>\n
This is according to Namibia Meteorological Services’ weather predictions, which indicate that the interior of the country will likely experience partly cloudy and hot conditions, while the coast will experience partly cloudy and cool to mild conditions on Wednesday.<\/p>\n
Walvis Bay was highlighted as one of the coastal towns that will receive rain on Wednesday. This will come with a minimum temperature of 8\u2070C and a maximum temperature of 20\u2070C.<\/p>\n
The other coastal towns \u2013 namely Swakopmund, !Nami#nus and Henties Bay \u2013 are expected to record minimum temperatures ranging between 10\u2070C and 12\u2070C and maximum temperatures ranging between 18\u2070C and 22\u2070C.<\/p>\n
Windhoek was also identified as one of the central areas that will receive rain, not only on Wednesday, but also on Thursday. This is predicted to come with minimum temperatures of 12\u2070C and maximum temperatures ranging between 27\u2070C and 29\u2070C.<\/p>\n
In the South, Keetmanshoop is also expected to receive rain on Wednesday and Thursday, which will be accompanied with minimum temperatures ranging between 12\u2070C and 14\u2070C and maximum temperatures of 29\u2070C.<\/p>\n
Other southern towns such as Aranos, Mariental and Aus are expected to record minimum temperatures of 15\u2070C, 13\u2070C and 13\u2070C respectively, with maximum temperatures of 31\u2070C, 29\u2070C and 26\u2070C respectively on Wednesday.<\/p>\n
However, the highest temperatures are once again expected in the North, where many places in the Kunene Region are expected to record maximum temperatures ranging between 32\u2070C and 33\u2070C on Wednesday. This includes Sesfontein and Khorixas, which are expected to record minimum temperatures ranging between 14\u2070C and 15\u2070C.<\/p>\n
The rest of the North is also not spared from these high temperatures. In fact, Oshakati, in the Oshana Region, Ondangwa, in the Oshikoto Region, and Okahao, in the Omusati Region, are all expected to record minimum temperatures ranging between 13\u2070C and 14\u2070C and maximum temperatures ranging between 32\u2070C and 33\u2070C on Wednesday.<\/p>\n
The North-east, where rain is expected in certain areas on Thursday, will also see such high temperatures on Wednesday. For example, Katima Mulilo, Rundu and Nkurenkuru will likely record minimum temperatures of 12\u2070C, 14\u2070C and 12\u2070C respectively, with maximum temperatures of 33\u2070C, 33\u2070C and 32\u2070C respectively.<\/p>\n
