THREE minors and one female adult were the recent raped people in Omusati Region and a case of investigation has already been launched.<\/p>\n
The victims are aged 9, 13, 14 and 25, with only one suspect apprehended, while three others are known and yet to be arrested by the police.<\/p>\n
According to Crime Coordinator Moses Simaho, the nine-year-old victim was allegedly raped some times in May at unknown date and time, by her 17-year-old cousin at Okando village.<\/p>\n
However, Simaho indicated that the matter was only brought to the attention of the police recently after the victim\u2019s mother alerted the police.<\/p>\n
Simaho stated that the suspect is not arrested, but the matter involves domestic violence.<\/p>\n
At Ondatsila village, the 13-year-old girl was allegedly raped by 20-year-old Angolan national man, last week Tuesday.<\/p>\n
\u201cIt is alleged that the suspect grabbed the minor from the back, laid her down and raped her,\u201d said Simaho.<\/p>\n
Simaho added that the suspect has already been arrested.<\/p>\n
Meanwhile, at Onamulunga village of the Omusati\u2019s Outapi Constituency, a 14-year-old girl was allegedly raped by a known suspect on the 5th of July. Simaho stated that the matter was reported by the victim\u2019s biological mother.<\/p>\n
\u201cSuspect is not yet arrested. No domestic violence or alcohol abuse involved,\u201d he added.<\/p>\n
Further, a 25-year-old woman was raped at Oneeya Village.<\/p>\n
According to Simaho, the incident occurred last week Thursday, and the suspect who is allegedly known by the victim is not yet arrested.<\/p>\n
\u201cIt is alleged that the suspect threatened to beat the victim with a knobkerrie, then instructed the victim to undress herself which she did and raped her,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n
Simaho added no domestic violence is involved in the matter and that police investigations into the matter are ongoing.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
