THE new booking system Gondwana Collection Namibia launched recently to simplify the booking process and make it more convenient for users, is a great success.<\/p>\n

<\/p>\n

The Group\u2019s Managing Director, Gys Joubert, earlier encouraged users to provide feedback on the system so they could improve on any anomalies and make the site more user-friendly.<\/p>\n

<\/p>\n

According to Anthea Cloete, the Group Reservations Manager, many people have followed up on this offer, adding that 90% of the feedback is positive.<\/p>\n

<\/p>\n

\u201cThe negative feedback is mostly advice, which the Group appreciates since we want to make the site more convenient for users. For example, some users advised the Group to add a map on the website\u2019s landing page,\u201d she said.<\/p>\n

<\/p>\n

Cloete said the although the new booking system is doing well, it might not be everyone\u2019s main booking preference as there are still many people who make last-minute bookings in person.<\/p>\n

<\/p>\n

The majority of these clients are from Namibia.<\/p>\n

<\/p>\n

\u201cAt the moment it is mostly locals supporting the business,\u201d Cloete stated.<\/p>\n

<\/p>\n

It is no secret that Covid-19 had an immense negative impact on the tourism industry.<\/p>\n

<\/p>\n

Nonetheless, Cloete is hopeful that tourist arrivals will pick up again as travel restrictions are eased.<\/p>\n
