{"id":309327,"date":"2021-10-10T12:06:59","date_gmt":"2021-10-10T10:06:59","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/informante.web.na\/?p=309327"},"modified":"2021-10-10T12:07:02","modified_gmt":"2021-10-10T10:07:02","slug":"four-lions-two-hyenas-poisoned-and-buried","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/informante.web.na\/?p=309327","title":{"rendered":"Four lions, two hyenas poisoned and buried"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Marthina Mutanga<\/p>\n<p>\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>A TOTAL four carcasses of collared male lions and two hyena carcasses were discovered over the weekend at a cattle post near Palmfontein in the Ehirovipuka conservancy.<\/p>\n<p>\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>According to the spokesperson of the Ministry of Environment, Forestry and Tourism, Romeo Muyunda, the carcasses were buried with stones at the Otjomapenda cattle post after the wild animals had been poisoned.<\/p>\n<p>\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>Muyunda said they sent out a search party after they found that the lion collars stopped sending signals and response.<\/p>\n<p>\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-embed is-type-video is-provider-youtube wp-block-embed-youtube wp-embed-aspect-16-9 wp-has-aspect-ratio\"><div class=\"wp-block-embed__wrapper\">\n<iframe loading=\"lazy\" title=\"Four lions two hyenas poisoned and buried\" width=\"1000\" height=\"563\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/EuUqtYZdOMU?feature=oembed\" frameborder=\"0\" allow=\"accelerometer; autoplay; clipboard-write; encrypted-media; gyroscope; picture-in-picture; web-share\" referrerpolicy=\"strict-origin-when-cross-origin\" allowfullscreen><\/iframe>\n<\/div><\/figure>\n\n\n<p>\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;The operation led to this gruesome discovery of the carcasses at around 18h00. On Friday, 8 October, we discovered one lion.
