SEVERAL villages in the Okongo Constituency of the Ohangwena Region are without water since Monday after unknown suspects stole the cylinder of the only water pump in the area.<\/p>\n

\u00a0<\/p>\n

The water well is located in the Omulondo village and supplies water to two local schools and a number of neighbouring villages, namely Etakaya, Opepela, Epumbalindjaba, Omuloya waTuyoleni, and a youth project at Omutwewomunhu.<\/p>\n

\u00a0<\/p>\n

Inspector Kaume Itumba said that the cylinder was stolen by two suspects who carried it away to the Okongo-Eenhana main road where they were picked up by a vehicle.<\/p>\n

\u00a0<\/p>\n

The value of the cylinder is not known yet, and no arrests have been made.<\/p>\n

\u00a0<\/p>\n

Police investigations continue.<\/p>\n
