{"id":305955,"date":"2021-07-11T07:53:07","date_gmt":"2021-07-11T05:53:07","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/informante.web.na\/?p=305955"},"modified":"2021-07-11T07:53:10","modified_gmt":"2021-07-11T05:53:10","slug":"ports-auhority-attains-new-record","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/informante.web.na\/?p=305955","title":{"rendered":"Ports auhority attains new record"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Staff Reporter<\/p>\n<p>\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>THE Namibian Ports Authority has attained another record when achieved one million hours without any Lost Time Injuries.<\/p>\n<p>\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>Lost Time Injury is an industrial term used to describe injuries of workers that results in a company losing man hours as a result of injuries or death and is calculated within a framework of an accounting period.<\/p>\n<p>\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>According to Elias Mwenyo, the landmark achievement was made despite the current challenges presented by the COVID-19 pandemic.<\/p>\n<p>\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>\u201cNamport continues to adhere to all health protocols whilst still ensuring the effectiveness and safety of its workforce,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n<p>\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-image\"><figure class=\"aligncenter size-large\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"960\" height=\"720\" src=\"https:\/\/informante.web.na\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/07\/Ports-auhority-attains-new-record-1.jpg\" alt=\"record Namibian Ports Authority record achieved Lost Time Injuries\" class=\"wp-image-305952\" srcset=\"https:\/\/informante.web.na\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/07\/Ports-auhority-attains-new-record-1.jpg 960w, https:\/\/informante.web.na\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/07\/Ports-auhority-attains-new-record-1-300x225.jpg 300w, https:\/\/informante.web.na\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/07\/Ports-auhority-attains-new-record-1-768x576.jpg 768w, https:\/\/informante.web.na\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/07\/Ports-auhority-attains-new-record-1-400x300.jpg 400w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 960px) 100vw, 960px\" \/><\/figure><\/div>\n\n\n<p>\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>He indicated that the last time the ports authority reported an injury at work was on 14 February 2021.<\/p>\n<p>\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>\u201cSince then, we have not recorded any loss time injuries.
