{"id":305744,"date":"2021-07-06T11:36:00","date_gmt":"2021-07-06T09:36:00","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/informante.web.na\/?p=305744"},"modified":"2021-07-06T11:36:03","modified_gmt":"2021-07-06T09:36:03","slug":"no-parliament-sitting-today-as-covid-19-cases-rise","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/informante.web.na\/?p=305744","title":{"rendered":"No Parliament sitting today, as Covid-19 cases rise"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Staff Reporter<\/p>\n<p>\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>THE resumption of a parliamentary sitting initially scheduled for today will no longer take place due to an extension of the House sitting.<\/p>\n<p>\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>The decision to extend the suspension of the House sittings is due to the increasing number of people testing positive for the Covid-19 virus in the country and the fact that a majority of the Members of Parliament have to travel from all corners of the country, which may contribute to the further spread of the virus.<\/p>\n<p>\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;The National Assembly hereby informs all its Members, stakeholders and the general public that the resumption of its sittings, which was scheduled for Tuesday, is hereby postponed.
