{"id":302205,"date":"2021-03-16T07:40:08","date_gmt":"2021-03-16T05:40:08","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/informante.web.na\/?p=302205"},"modified":"2021-03-16T07:40:10","modified_gmt":"2021-03-16T05:40:10","slug":"dont-go-out-of-balance-nandi-ndaitwah","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/informante.web.na\/?p=302205","title":{"rendered":"Don&#8217;t go out of balance &#8211; Nandi-Ndaitwah"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Maria David<\/p>\n<p>\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>SWAPO should not be allowed to be taken out of balance by those that are trying to destroy the party.<\/p>\n<p>\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>Vice-president of Swapo, Netumbo Nandi-Ndaitwah called on leaders at all levels not to allow the former liberation movement to be taken out of balance by emerging detractors.<\/p>\n<p>\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>Nandi-Ndaitwah made these remarks at Eenhana in the Ohangwena Region on Saturday while addressing a meeting where International Women\u2019s Day (IWD) was celebrated. The meeting coincided with the last ordinary meeting of the Swapo Party Women\u2019s Council (SPWC) members elected in 2016.<\/p>\n<p>\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>She told those in attendance that Namibia\u2019s political situation is now characterised by disturbing evils such as negativity, character assassination, and dishonesty.<\/p>\n<p>\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-image\"><figure class=\"aligncenter size-large\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"960\" height=\"720\" src=\"https:\/\/informante.web.na\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/03\/Dont-go-out-of-balance-Nandi-Ndaitwah.jpeg\" alt=\"balance Nandi-Ndaitwah SWAPO destroy party\" class=\"wp-image-302208\" srcset=\"https:\/\/informante.web.na\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/03\/Dont-go-out-of-balance-Nandi-Ndaitwah.jpeg 300w, https:\/\/informante.web.na\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/03\/Dont-go-out-of-balance-Nandi-Ndaitwah.jpeg 768w, https:\/\/informante.web.na\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/03\/Dont-go-out-of-balance-Nandi-Ndaitwah.jpeg 400w, https:\/\/informante.web.na\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/03\/Dont-go-out-of-balance-Nandi-Ndaitwah.jpeg 960w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 960px) 100vw, 960px\" \/><\/figure><\/div>\n\n\n<p>\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>\u201cDetractors are hard at work trying to drag Swapo through the mud by instigating fighting amongst groups within the ruling party,\u201d Nandi-Ndaitwah said.<\/p>\n<p>\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>She believes Swapo remains the people\u2019s party if everybody in its leadership consults with the party\u2019s membership from the section to branch level to adhere to the spirit of solidarity, freedom, and justice.<br \/>Swapo, according to Nandi-Ndaitwah, remains relevant once its leaders are serving members with correct information and alert them to misinformation being disseminated against the party via social media.<\/p>\n<p>\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>Nandi-Ndaitwah, who is also the country\u2019s Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of International Relations and Cooperation used the same meeting to call on Swapo leaders, in the position of responsibility in both the party and government, to shun individualistic aspirations and corruption.<\/p>\n<p>\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe time will come for dishonest leaders as well as those given national responsibilities, but those failing to deliver or ensuring that the party remains relevant will be held accountable,\u201d she warned.<\/p>\n<p>\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>Despite accusations of Swapo leaders involved in corrupt activities, such as the infamous Fishrot scandal, Nandi-Ndaitwah stressed that none of Swapo&#8217;s woman leaders is linked to the alleged corruption.<\/p>\n<p>\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>\u201cAs we celebrate International Women\u2019s Day this year, African women have made history in the world by becoming the first female chief of the World Trade Organisation.
