{"id":301015,"date":"2021-02-09T21:06:16","date_gmt":"2021-02-09T19:06:16","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/informante.web.na\/?p=301015"},"modified":"2021-02-09T21:06:18","modified_gmt":"2021-02-09T19:06:18","slug":"woman-hacked-to-death","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/informante.web.na\/?p=301015","title":{"rendered":"Woman hacked to death"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>Placido Hilukilwa<\/p>\n<p>\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>LUCIA Nakadilu Nghidipo, a 32-year-old resident of the Eengwe village in the Ongenga constituency of Ohangwena Region died tragically Monday evening after her boyfriend attacked her with a panga.<\/p>\n<p>\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>The victim died as a result of deep wounds to her head and neck that she sustained when the suspect attacked shortly before midnight.<\/p>\n<p>\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>According to the police, the incident occurred in the Oikalahenye village where the deceased went to visit her 45-year-old boyfriend after the couple went drinking at the local cuca shops.<\/p>\n<p>\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>The suspect was arrested and the murder weapon was also recovered.<\/p>\n<p>\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>He is expected to appear in court soonest on charges of murder and domestic violence.<\/p>\n<p>\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>The brutal murder occurred a day before President Hage Geingob during the official opening of the third session of the Seventh Parliament stated that laws preventing Gender-Based and Sexual Violence must be promulgated as soon as possible to ensure that women in Namibia can start living without fear.<\/p>\n<p>\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>Of late, cases of brutal murder and domestic violence have been piling up in northern Namibia, Ohangwena Region in particular.<\/p>\n<p>\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"alignnormal\"><!-- MetaSlider 271797 not found --><\/div>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"","protected":false},"author":8,"featured_media":301016,"comment_status":"closed","ping_status":"closed","sticky":false,"template":"","format":"standard","meta":{"footnotes":""},"categories":[24],"tags":[],"class_list":["post-301015","post","type-post","status-publish","format-standard","has-post-thumbnail","category-news"],"yoast_head":"<!-- This site is optimized with the Yoast SEO plugin v28.5 -
