{"id":300679,"date":"2021-01-31T16:52:19","date_gmt":"2021-01-31T14:52:19","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/informante.web.na\/?p=300679"},"modified":"2021-01-31T16:52:22","modified_gmt":"2021-01-31T14:52:22","slug":"brave-young-girl-hacked-with-panga-by-father","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/informante.web.na\/?p=300679","title":{"rendered":"Brave young girl hacked with panga by father"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>Staff Reporter<\/p>\n<p>\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>AN eleven-year-old girl\u2019s bravery and attempt to protect her mother from her panga wielding biological father nearly cost her her life when the suspect instead turned on the young girl and repeatedly hacked her.<\/p>\n<p>\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>According to the Namibian Police, the incident happened between the hours of 00:00 and 02:00 on Friday, 29 January, at Freedom Square, Damara Block at Epako.<\/p>\n<p>\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>It is alleged that the suspect, a 44-year-old man, unlawfully and intentionally hit his 11-year-old daughter with a panga after the minor tried to stop him from attacking her mother with the panga.<\/p>\n<p>\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>The suspect, who has since been arrested, also broke his daughter\u2019s arm and left her with open wounds to the neck and back with his panga.<\/p>\n<p>\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>Police investigations continue.<\/p>\n<p>\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>Picture for illustrative purposes only.
